Our Programs
In California’s underserved communities, the digital divide casts a long shadow. While affluent families introduce their children to advanced digital devices and technologies as early as kindergarten, countless others are left behind, unable to afford these critical tools. This divide doesn’t just limit access to technology, it limits futures. But one organization is redefining what’s possible. Enter Music Science Group (MSG), a trailblazing initiative that combines the transformative power of music with cutting-edge technology to deliver opportunity where it’s needed most. Turning Challenges into Opportunities
Music Science Group isn’t just closing the digital divide—it’s erasing it. Through hands-on programs, MSG brings advanced technology directly into classrooms, introducing students to tools they might otherwise never encounter:
3D Printing & Engineering
Students design and create musical instruments while learning key engineering concepts.
Robotics
Build and program robots that interact with music.
Coding
Learn to code and create digital musical experiences.
AI Music Creation
Explore artificial intelligence to compose and generate original music.

Our Impact
91% of parents with children in our program would recommend our program.
100% gained a better understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) concepts.
100% of our students report an increased interest in STEM fields after participating in our program.
Over 3,000 young people have benefited from our music programs.
Our core mission of our organization
Our Mission
At Music Science Group (MSG), our mission is to bridge the gap between music education and technological advancement by integrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) into traditional music instruction. We are committed to providing students—especially those from underserved and marginalized communities—with hands-on learning experiences in areas such as robotics, coding, digital music production, and even AI-assisted composition.
Through access to digital tools and creative technologies, we aim to empower students to shape their futures, no matter their background. From urban neighborhoods to rural schools, MSG works to close the digital divide by showing students what’s possible when music meets innovation. By introducing modern technologies as early as kindergarten, we equip children not only with musical skills but also with the digital literacy necessary to succeed in a rapidly evolving world.
Music is the gateway—but our mission goes beyond. We use music as a vehicle to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and prepare students for the future through technology, creativity, and education.
What began as one man’s grassroot efforts grew into a movement that’s changing lives across California. Expanding the Vision
Today, Music Science Group has evolved far beyond a U-Haul truck. The organization now delivers immersive after-school programs to three school districts (Sacramento, Twin Rivers and Folson Cordova) and has partnered and provided services for the City of Sacramento, The California Mental Health Services Authority, MOSAC, The Greater Sacramento Urban League and the 100 Black Men organization. The Music Science Technology Program ensures that students from marginalized communities have access to digital devices and skills shaping their futures. From urban centers to rural schools, MSG is turning the tide by showing students the exciting possibilities technology can unlock.
Through these programs, kids learn much more than music.
